Sunday Morning Worship Services

Sunday morning worship, which begins at 10:00am, is the central activity of our church community. Services vary from week to week, but always include hymns, prayers, a free-will offering for ministry and mission, readings from the Bible, and a sermon (usually by the pastor, but occasionally by lay persons). The service also includes a children’s message, after which most children go to Godly Play Sunday School.  Our worship is enhanced by the ministry of our superb choir and organist, who offer a wide range of classical and contemporary selections. Nursery care is available for small children throughout the service.

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, and sometimes on special holidays. Distribution of the elements is by intinction (dipping) of bread in the common cup. To support those who may be in recovery from alcohol dependency grape juice is used. Participation in Communion is open to all who have faith in Christ, regardless of church membership. This includes children, as well.

Worshipers often dress informally, especially in the summer.  Following the service in the sanctuary, there is a time for refreshments and conversation in the church hall located beneath the sanctuary. We sincerely hope that visitors will allow a little time to share in this part of our Sunday experience, so that we can get to know one another. For a copy of a recent or upcoming Sunday bulletin, click here.

Celebrating Holidays

The church follows a liturgical calendar observed by most Christian churches. During the year there are numerous specil services related to the seasons of Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter and other celebrations. These often involve music and Holy Communion. Check our Newsletter for details about upcoming special worship events.

Pastoral Care

Rev. Dry is available for personal conversations about religious, moral, social, and relational issues. Baptisms, weddings and funerals may be also be arranged with the pastor. Call the church office for an appointment.
