Call for Pictures
We're collecting paper pictures of church life for the Church's web site.
Please give them to Rainer von Saleski,
or put them in the Communications mailbox in the church hallway,
along with a note describing what the pictures represent, and your name.
Rainer will scan them and return them to you a week later. Thanks for your
help |

Welcome, Donna Dempewolf!
The first meeting of the Intern Committee was held on Sunday, September
23 at 8:30 a.m.
Donna Dempewolf presented her Learning Agreement which details what
it is she hopes to achieve through her experiences at LUMC. Donna
will be meeting all of the congregation over the next few weeks as she
assumes duties in worship, visiting and teaching. Her first sermon
will be given on November 25th and we are looking forward to her message.
Donna lives in Cambridge and is attending the Boston University School
of Theology. She calls Minnesota home and plans to be back there
for Christmas during her semester break.
We welcome her and look forward to guiding her this year as she grows
in her pastoral identity. |

Stewardship
The 2001 LUMC stewardship campaign theme is Together We Grow, One Step
at a Time and the accompanying scripture is from 1 Peter 4:10,
“As each has received a gift,
employ it for one another,
as good stewards of God’s varied
grace.”
The Stewardship Committee met on September 24th to plan this year’s
campaign. The committee has chosen to use a new program that we’re confident
will yield excellent pledge results. You will be learning more about the
program in the coming weeks. Stewardship
Sunday will be November 11th with a celebratory brunch in Martin Hall to
follow the worship service, so please mark the date on
your calendars. Members of the 2001 stewardship committee are Betty Hunt,
Ben Beckwith, Rev. Susan, Kent Harbaugh, Mary Driscoll, David Kramer, and
Dale Brunelle. Please join with us to further support the faith, justice,
and works of the LUMC mission and ministries through your generous gifts
and pledges. |
