2001 Stewardship Campaign The 2001 LUMC Stewardship Campaign is set to kick-off. In the October Newsletter, we mentioned that the Stewardship Committee had decided to implement a new program to boost this year’s pledge giving. The Living Stewardship program calls for each of us to enter into thoughtful contemplation of the gifts we have received through the grace of God, and encourages each of us to make a prayerful decision regarding the level of our giving. Throughout the campaign, we will be encouraging each of you to take a forward step by increasing your pledge by 10% or to take a step of faith toward tithing. Special invitations to give will be delivered via mail to four specific groups within the LUMC community (those currently pledging, newcomers/ new members, youth, and non-contributing or occasional givers). Each group will receive a unique message and opportunity to grow (or begin) their contribution to the mission, ministries, and operation of the LUMC. Informational packets will be mailed to the entire LUMC family the week of October 29th. A ministry moment regarding the program will be delivered on November 4th and Stewardship Sunday will be the following week, November 11th, upon which time pledge card packets will be handed out and collected during the service. Immediately following the service on the 11th, there will be a brunch in Martin Hall where we can gather together as a church family in fellowship and celebration (please mark your calendars). Consecration Sunday will be Sunday the 18th where we will dedicate the offerings received to date, and Sunday the 25th will be a victory celebration, bringing to conclusion the 2001 Stewardship Campaign. “As each has received a gift,
