I am very excited to be composing an anthem for the 50th Anniversary of the Lexington United Methodist Church. As part of my preparation, I am currently looking for textual resources to use. I would like to invite the congregation into this process. Please submit to me some Bible texts that are most meaningful to you. You might also give me other inspiring words. While I cannot promise that I will use all the entries, I will work everyone’s inspiration into my music. Thank you in advance for your help with this anthem.

On Saturday, November 17th, at 8:00 PM at Seully Hall at the Boston Conservatory, 8 The Fenway, I will be performing Frederic Rzewski’s “The People United Will Never Be Defeated!” This is an amazing piece of music, and I am very glad to be performing it after years of preparation. The piece consists of 36 variations on the Chilean song, and as such can be compared to the Goldberg Variations. I invite the congregation to attend.
