The Children’s Choir is always busy during Advent, and this year will be no exception. On Sunday December 2, the choir will sing “O Come, O Come, Immanuel” by Natalie Sleeth. The group will also share several anthems during the Christmas pageant on Sunday morning, December 16. Rehearsals take place each Sunday morning, 10:30-11 in room 21.  All children are invite to join in the fun and songs during Sunday rehearsals.

This year’s pageant is entitled “Journey to Bethlehem” and is based upon texts from Jerome Berryman’s Godly Play lessons. Becky Linton will be contacting all children and youth about their participation, so that each will be involved in some aspect of the production.

* Each month, during this year celebrating Lexington UMC’s 50th Anniversary, a Sunday will be dedicated to a Peace with Justice issue that has been significant in the life of our church community
