April 7—Second Sunday of Easter

The lectionary readings for this Sunday are Psalm 16; 1 Peter 1:3–9; and John 20:19–31. Our Nicaraguan ambassadors will share their stories and wisdom from their recent trip to Nicaragua.  Holy Communion will be celebrated.

April 14—Third Sunday of Easter

“No Longer Strangers” will be Rev. Susan’s sermon topic following the lectionary readings from Psalm 116:1–4, 12–19; and Luke 24:13–35.

April 21—Fourth Sunday of Easter
Earth Day Sunday

8:30 am Blessing of the Animals
9:00 am Holy Communion served in the library

We will continue our tradition of gathering in front of the church at 8:30 am for a Blessing of the Animals on this Earth Day Sunday.  Marylu Bunting will be our preacher as she considers the question, “What would true abundance look like?” Her texts will be Exodus 16 and Matthew 6:25-34.

We will gather as a church community in this Easter season and ponder together the topic of prayer through our reflection on Jesus’ words in John 14:14.  “If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it.”  The lectionary readings include Psalm 31:1–5, 15–16; 1 Peter 2:2–10; and John 14:1–14. The Children’s Choir will sing at this service.
